The 41st Annual Founders’ Day Breakfast
At the 41st Founders’ Day Breakfast we celebrated Thomas Jefferson and the idea that we are all endowed by the creator with the right to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness.
President Thomas Jefferson delivered the keynote address (video below). President Jefferson reminded us that the principles expounded in the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution are self-evident truths. He went on to talk about some of the issues that he faced during his presidency, including making the Louisiana Purchase.
